Most residential installations of a split system generally take 4-6 hours. Installing a ducted system usually takes between 1-2 days.

The size depends on the area, aspect, insulation, glass and heat load from occupants. Our team at Custom Air can visit your home to determine the exact size required, maximising efficiency and minimising energy costs. This is a free service.

An inverter system uses a variable speed compressor, which adjusts the cooling or heating capacity to match indoor conditions. Inverter units are more economical, efficient and quieter than fixed-speed systems. Both ducted and split systems are available with inverter technology.

Back-to-back installation means the indoor and outdoor units are placed on opposite sides of the same wall, reducing the amount of copper pipe run needed and ultimately lowering installation costs.

A split system air conditioner consists of two parts: the outdoor unit, located outside your home and the indoor unit, typically wall-mounted inside. Reverse cycle means the system provides both heating and cooling. Multi-head systems, ceiling cassettes, under-ceiling units and cooling-only models are also available.

An electrician is required to connect the main supply to the unit from the switchboard, as all units need their own circuit. You can use your preferred tradesperson or we can recommend our preferred supplier.
